Scott's Home Page

Welcome to my Home Page!

My name is Scott Puleo and this is my Home Page. I am a full time Computer Science student at a local college on Long Island. I have divided my hobbies and interests into a few topics with some cool links to check out. Enjoy :)

Stuck in The Mud

One of my hobbies is mudding (muh-ding). M.U.D's (multi-user dimensions) allow people from all over the world to role play in real time at a fast and exciting pace via an internet connection. My characters name is Taffel and my perfered home is Retroative. To find out more about Retro telnet to mud.id.net port 3000. Check out RetroActive's Website.

Linux: Quest for Kernels

Another one of my hobbies is tinkering with a cool operating system called Linux. Linux is a free Unix clone for PC's. Linux was created by an individual by the name of Lindus Torvalds and was imediatly embraced by hackers across the internet. Linux is a great learning platform for people interested in computer science and a powerfull tool as well. One of the great aspects of Linux is that it is always evolving to fit todays constanly changing needs. Every day people write new drivers and applications for the system. Linux is readily availible through a variety of sources, the most commonly used are CD roms provided with literature assosiated with linux and FTP sites such as sun.com. A good place to get started is the Linux home page.

Lets Go Rangers!!!

I have been a Ranger fan all of my life. I grew up watching and playing hockey. Here is a cool link to theRangers Home page.
